There's a lot happening on Sollerön!

Viking Day on Thursday. Summer Market on Saturday and Crafts Day on Sunday.
The attractions follow each other on Sollerön.

Bengtsarvsvägen was full of parked cars and visitors "mingled" among the many Viking activities that were displayed in the Yard at the Hembygdsgården. Iron was forged and the blast furnace was running. A full 50 interested people followed the Viking guided tour along the Nature and Culture Trail. The ice cream and the coal buns ran out. The word success is close at hand.

Sollerö Summer Market is popular. There were many people at the Summer Market, but this year the rain cooled it down and took a bit of the edge off the event. Trade was still in full swing with crafts, fishing tackle, coconut balls, läfs and much more. Several flea markets were visible among the many stalls and even more were going on in several villages on the island.

The weather proved to be kind on Crafts Day. Rain clouds circled the island and ended up in Mora, which pleased many.

Impressive to see how many different kinds of crafts can be found in the parish. Woodwork, weaving, wool crafts, linen processing, etc. Visitors could also buy body oils and spring rolls. Folk music tones echoed between the old log houses. The Mora fiddler group provided the entertainment. Hembygdsgården's Café was popular in the sunshine. A café that is also open all summer.

As I said, there is a lot going on on Sollerön.
