The sun was in a brilliant mood on Solens Ö the day before Election Day. We stopped by the Filiorum preschool on Vibergsvägen. Filiorum was celebrating its anniversary. The delicious smell of grilled sausages spread through the neighborhood. Families with children met and socialized, and the children played with pedal cars and other toys. Familiar music was heard. It was none other than Sold's Finest that offered rock and roll.
The next meeting place was Kopen where Klippen was open. Good smells also came from there. Per Andersson's food truck was open and served Mexican burritos and quesadillas. The parking lot was full and business was in full swing in the store and in Återbruket.
With our stomachs full, we continued our bike ride past Kråkkan and down to Utanmyra. Over in Norby, Silwagården was open because it was “Food by the Siljan – weekend.”
Here cars met on the narrow road and visitors felt good among fruit, flowers, vegetables, sausages, chili, honey and art exhibitions in the garden. Coffee with delicious pastries was served and the queue was long for yummy loaves in the Café. Many curious Sollerö residents were there but the majority of the people were from the suburbs.
There is a lot on offer here on Sollerön. Harvest Festival is coming up soon with many meetings!
