An extensive renovation job has been started. We went to Gesunda to see how the work is progressing.
There is a lot of demolition, hammering, sawing and painting going on. Plumbers and electricians share the space with carpenters and helpers.
“Yes, a lot happens here in the cabin,” says Stig Wass.
“We try to recycle everything that can be recycled from what is being demolished.
The village cottage will get new floors in the entrance hall and all the walls will be repainted”, continues Stig. “Because the parking spaces for motorhomes are popular all year round, we are investing in more toilets and showers. Now there will be three toilets and two showers, which is also good considering the well-attended events and meetings as well as Fäbodlunken. It is pleasing that we have received help with financing from the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Development through Mora Municipality.
"It will all be ready by mid-February if we keep to the schedule," concludes Stig Wass.
