Sollerön has had participants in "Robinson" on several occasions.
We'll see if anyone signs up for next season now that the program will be filmed on Sollerön instead of Malaysia.
"We chose between Robinson and Paradise Island. Both programs are suitable for the nature and surroundings on Sollerön," says Anders Lundin, who unfortunately cannot continue as program host himself.
Instead, music profile Roger Zakrisson from Rafio Siljan will take over and will grill the participants. “The compass name with Team North and Team South fits well with an island where you talk in compass directions,” says Roger, who is looking forward to the role of host. “Soldkalven will be the base. The participants in Team South will camp there. Team North will be based on Pissholmen towards Nusnäs.” One of the disciplines will be seining. Another will be flatbread baking over an open fire. The rest is a secret.
But that's not enough!
Given that the age pyramid looks like it does in the parish (65+ in the majority), "Paradise Island" is not an option. Sollerön will instead be the filming location for "Romantic Hotel". Åsengården is booked for the summer's filming. There will be "candle light dinners", romantic night dips in the pool and romantic tastings of both fäbod beer and birch sap.
An overnight stay in the Pilgrim Chapel at Svarttjärn will attract many lonely hearts to sign up.
“This is the market. We hope that many local talents will sign up,” says Camilla Collett, who is making her debut as a TV presenter.
