In 1983, the Sollerö Handicraft Association organized a knitting competition under the theme “Hat from Sollerön”. The winning entry was composed and knitted by Lisa Larsson from Sollerön and was appropriately named Sollerö-Hat. The pattern has the characteristic Sollerö stitch (“sold stitch”) as a central part.
